Bike Ride and Picnic

The annual summer bike ride and picnic will be held on July 2nd.  Those who wish to ride should meet at the Cadillac city parking lot at 10:00 a.m.  Riders can choose the 8 mile Lake Cadillac route or the 18 mile route around both Lakes Cadillac and Mitchell.  The potluck picnic begins at 5:00 p.m. at the ski club. Bring lawn chairs and a dish to share. Burgers and steak provided by the club. Please note: any alcohol consumed on club premises must be purchased there.  A limited selection of drinks will be available for purchase with cash only.  Thank you for following this guideline to protect our liquor license.  Please RSVP for the picnic to Sandy Demek at sdemek@gmail.com or (734) 740-1990.  This event is sponsored by the Demek family.

Bar Remodel Committee--Volunteers Wanted

The Capital Project Committee is looking for volunteers to help plan, design and implement upgrades to the bar area.   Like any facility, the club needs constant maintenance and occasional upgrades to the social areas.  The members voted on how to proceed and this is the next project on the list.  The Board wants to ensure that any changes made reflect not only operational needs but those of our member customers as well.

Some parts of this project will require on site visits, but a lot can also be accomplished through remote meetings.  If you want to have a hand in the future of the club please email or text Pat Bourassa at ptsh002@gmail.com  or 920-469-7854 as soon as possible.

Applicants Needed for Secretary/Treasurer

The ski club has an opening for the position of club Secretary/Treasurer.  This part-time, paid position has historically been held by a club member. If you have any interest in the job, or would like more information, please contact Brian Nyland at bnyland@ameritech.net (248-755-9810) or speak to any Board member.

Condolences

Our club has lost two more long-time members.  Cris Dipple died June 9th.  Don Pikula passed away on June 11th.  Both these men contributed hours of their time and talent to the betterment of our club.  Condolences go to their families.  More information on Don is available at www.howepeterson.com.
