1. Survey Closes Wednesday….Seeking Input Regarding Use of the Upstairs Lounge by Persons Under 18 Years of Age (CSC Policy #5)
The Caberfae Ski Club (CSC) Board of Directors wants to hear from you regarding a potential change to CSC Policy #5, which prohibits persons under the age of 18 from entering the upstairs lounge area of the Club, except in the case of special events. This change would update the policy to allow all persons to use the upstairs of the Club facility, with options for restricting access such as when the bar is open. As noted in the Thanksgiving newsletter, the Board has paused any action on this topic pending further engagement of the membership. We know this is an important issue, appreciate the feedback, and ultimately want to make sure that any change reflects the will of the Membership!
Survey: Do you support allowing persons under 18 years of age in the upstairs lounge?
If so, what stipulations should be required? Is there anything else you feel should be considered?
We ask that you please respond by Wednesday, December 20th. The Board plans to carefully review and consider feedback at the next board meeting. A Q&A is available on the survey for additional information, and please feel free to contact any Board member with questions or to provide feedback.
2. Club hours for the Holiday!
Kitchen and bar hours:
12/22 Friday 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Bar 4-8 p.m.
12/23 Saturday 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Bar 3-8 p.m.
12/24 Sunday Christmas Eve 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Bar closed
12/25 Kitchen closed and no ticket agent
12/26 through 12/31 Kitchen open 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Bar closed 26th and 27th and open 12/28 through New Year’s Eve*
1/1/2024 Kitchen open 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
*For those around New Year’s Eve there will be music playing, dancing, snacks and games available for anyone that would like to celebrate the evening. Bar hours start at 4 p.m. and may be extended later depending on customers.
A ticket agent will be on hand for two hours beginning 15 minutes prior to hill opening. No ticket agent Christmas Day! Remember all times subject to change based on ski conditions and availability.
4. Holiday gift cards
The club has holiday gift cards for those hard to purchase people and are available with Sue in the kitchen. These certificates are good for club dinners and the kitchen menu during the season. Available all season.
5. Fish is back on the dinner menu!
There are three Friday night fish fry’s during the 2023-24 season. First fish fry is Friday, December 29th starting at 6:00 p.m. Mark your calendar and join club members on these nights. If the family likes fish but your little ones don’t, talk to Sue and she always can drop in a few chicken nuggets.
6. December 30th Open House with Meet-N-Greet with in-house band
It will be a busy night at the club with music starting at 4 p.m. The board will be present to answer questions and introduce any new members in attendance. There is a complimentary soup-n-salad buffet dinner with social time. It will start at 4:30 p.m. with board introductions and then move into a social hour with buffet dinner at 6:00 p.m. If you have questions on lockers, parking or guests, this is the time to find out.
