This Saturday: Kids’ Dance and Appetizer Potluck
This Saturday, January 28th, there will be an event for kids in the round room from 3:00 – 4:30. DJ Glen Stout will be playing tunes so kids 0 - 10 years old can show us their dance moves. Parents, grandparents, and family are encouraged to join them. Snacks will be provided for all. This event is not on our original calendar, so be sure to make note of it.
Happy Hour on the 28th will be extra special. Everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite appetizer to share. Come and enjoy the potluck buffet in the Stag’s Head Lounge from 4:00 - 8:00.
Family Day, Saturday, February 4th
Plan now to be here for Family Day on February 4th. There will be ski races for kids, horse drawn sleigh rides, and a bonfire with hotdogs, marshmallows and music.
Club Logo Wear Sale
If you missed the logo sale we had before the season started, you have a chance to make up for it now. Go to https://armadillo.printavo.com/merch/caberfae-ski-club. You will find a selection of shirts, vests, fleeces and more, all with our club logo. Order from the website and the product will be shipped directly to your home. The sale is active until February 28th. Merchandise will arrive in March.
Board Candidates Needed
If you are interested in serving the club by becoming a board member, please contact a member of the nominating committee: Julie Chesney or Keenan Cooper. You can also express your interest by emailing caberfaeskiclub@caberfaeskiclub.org and we will put you in touch with one of them. The board meets one or two times a month to make decisions about club upkeep, finances, social events, projects, and more. In the last few years meetings have been done on Zoom, usually on a week day evening. Board members are also active at many club events. Members serve a 4-year term. Each year two new members are selected. Any board member will be happy to tell you more about the position.
Keep Your Email Address Updated
The club is using email as the main way to communicate with members. You are billed by email, you receive this newsletter by email, and soon, you will be voting by email. So please make sure that we have correct addresses. Also, family memberships need to supply us with two email addresses if you are going to take advantage of your two votes for board elections.
Bartenders This Weekend
Ed and Nancy Jones will serve drinks on Friday. On Saturday, the bartenders will be Jared and Sara Sper. Thank you to all who have helped the club by taking on this job. There are still openings available!
