Annual Meeting Weekend Recap
Cooler temperatures and sunshine Saturday made for great skiing this past weekend, before our Annual Meeting at the Club. Pete and Tim once again joined us for their annual briefing and reported having a great year, “maybe the best ever” said Pete, referring to the work accomplished with Consumers to improve power to the area. Peaks will be investing in new snowmaking capabilities in the off season, primarily due to the response many of Caberfae’s avid users made to Consumers when Peaks put out their need for power. A 4th pump will be installed this summer with plenty of power now to move forward. Pete and Tim thanked all those who wrote letters in support of this development.
The club thanked Pete and Tim for all they do to make Caberfae a special place. The board presented Peaks with four digital clocks to be installed at the top of each lift. No batteries needed!
The kitchen had a busy Saturday and ended with the grill team turning steak and chicken for the annual meeting dinner. A big thank you to Glen Stout for his karaoke night. Many sang their hearts out.
Welcome to New Board Members
Welcome to Chris Medema and Mark Pikula. They will be filling the two open positions left by Ron Kimball and Jeremy Williams. Thank you Ron and Jeremy for your work on the board and all your support for the club. Thanks too to everyone who took the time to vote! Be sure to look for Chris and Mark and thank them for volunteering their time to the Club in this important way.
*Just Added - Mexican Fiesta this Saturday*
Join fellow members this Saturday night, 5 - 8 p.m. for a fun and festive Mexican fiesta. Members are asked to bring something to share, preferably in the spirit of a “fiesta!” (think chips, guac, salsa, festive finger foods) James will have margaritas and music will be provided by our own Keenan Cooper from 4 - 7 p.m.
