OCTOBER 5: Fall Work Bee and Golf Outing
FIRST EVER SKI CLUB PADDLE TRIP
CALLING ALL SKI CLUB PADDLERS who may be interested in paddling down a creek with a paddle. Sam Hogg is "just throwing it out there" to see if there's any interest in a ski club paddle trip. To help you make up your mind, some of the thinking has been done for you ... like the date and where and what. Sunday, September 22nd. Rendezvous point will be Peterson Bridge (south of M55 on M32) at 12:30 PM. Just listen for Lauren playing the music from Deliverance an a banjo ... poorly. That's where we'll catch a shuttle bus to take 'paddle people' up the river for a 2-3 hour paddle back down to Peterson Bridge. Like 18 or 24 hours later ... or dinner time (which ever comes first) wet and dry paddlers will rally for dinner at Coyote Crossings (non-paddlers welcome!). Cost will vary from $10-25 per person based on what equipment you prefer. (lots more if you'd like a four-wheeler). Please respond to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information: Number attending? Providing my own equipment?
Would like to rent a kayak (1 person, ~$25) or canoe (2 person, ~$40)?
FRESH LOOK AT OUR GOLF OUTING
Calling all golfers! It's about that time for the leaves to start changing, and perhaps more significantly, for the Annual Caberfae Ski Club Golf Outing. The date is Saturday October 5 (after fall work-bee) at 2 P.M. We'd like to get back to doing a more traditional style golf outing with a shotgun start, longest drive, closest to pin, etc., but in order to do so we need to have enough interest. If you would like to participate, please contact Shane Demek (email@example.com) ASAP so we can try and get a gauge on how many people we will have. More details will follow, and we hope to see you there!
