Celebrating Over 80 Years of Skiing and Lifelong Friendships

December 7, 2021      Vol. XV, #6

It's official ... Friday!  Caberfae Peaks opens this Friday at 10 a.m. for three days of skiing.  Slopes are open each day from 10 a.m to 4:30 p.m.  And guess who has a Ticket Elf ready for three days of pass punching.  The Caberfae Ski Club does!!!  The Elf will be in the house from 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Remember, the Elves love Cinnamon Twists.  Proper care and feeding of elves is critical to controlling their mood swings.

(This was mentioned last week, but with eyes full of tears it may have been a little blurry)

The club dining room, will be open on Saturday and Sunday.  Sue and her galley crew of Mikaela and Sharon will be ready with Soup, Sandwiches, Salads, Milkshakes, Fresh Baked Cookies, and Cinnamon Twists.  There will even be Popcorn and Limited Bar service from noon until 4 p.m.

Meet James, the club's new bartender, here from Vail's hottest watering holes.  James will be serving up libations from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Saturday in the Stag's Head Lounge.  James is looking forward to adding Friday's in the near future.

Check out the new outdoor patio on the south side, under the Stag's Head Deck.  There are quick start instruction near the propane heaters, and more complete step by step instructions in the clubhouse.  Enjoy lunch or a cocktail outside.  In the afternoon and evenings, with drink in hand, please chart your course from the Stag's Head Lounge, out onto the upper deck and down the deck stairs to the patio.

How would you like to move to the top of the Parking Lot list?  Or, get instant respect you don't have to earn?  It's simple. Become a member of the Board of Directors of the Caberfae Ski Club.  It's easier than you might think.  But it comes with a catch ... you need to get elected first.  Seriously, the club board of directors, with guidance from the membership, leads the club through blizzards and fresh powder days.    Our club can't exist without volunteers and this may be just for you.  To learn more about what's involved, please contact board members, Stacey Dimmer, staceywilder@yahoo.com, or Paul Waug waugelect@aol.com. They will be pleased to give y ou the inside skinny.
