1. Bike Ride and Picnic Date Change
The date of the annual Fourth of July bike ride and picnic has been changed to Saturday, July 2nd. Riders should meet for a 10:00 a.m. start at the Cadillac City Park parking lot. The afternoon potluck picnic begins at 5:00 p.m. at the ski club. Bring lawn chairs and a dish to share. Burgers and steak provided by the club. This event is sponsored by the Demek family. Please RSVP for the picnic to Sandy Demek at sdemek@gmail.com or (734) 740-1990.
2. Thank You Norma!
After serving for six seasons as the club Secretary/Treasurer, Norma Roelfsema has decided to pass on the torch. Norma did an amazing job keeping our club business running smoothly. Everyone who has worked with her can attest to her efficiency and enthusiasm. The Board thanks Norma for her time and dedication. She will be missed.
Applicants Needed for Secretary/Treasurer
We now have an opening for the position of club Secretary/Treasurer. This paid position has historically been held by a club member. If you have any interest in the job, or would like more information, please contact Brian Nyland at bnyland@ameritech.net (248-755-9810) or speak to any Board member.
3. Our Bar Needs an Update! Call for Volunteers
The Capital Project Committee is looking for volunteers to help plan, design and implement upgrades to the bar area. Like any facility, the club needs constant maintenance and occasional upgrades to the social areas. The members voted on how to proceed and this is the next project on the list. The Board wants to ensure that any changes made reflect not only operational needs but those of our member customers as well.
Some parts of this project will require on site visits, but a lot can also be accomplished through remote meetings. If you want to have a hand in the future of the club please email or text Pat Bourassa at ptsh002@gmail.com or 920-469-7854 by 6/5/2022.
Condolences
The club offers condolences to Bob Cole on the loss of his mother, long time club member Lois Cinco. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 5th at 2:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City.
