Celebrating Over 80 Years of Skiing and Lifelong Friendships
December 21, 2021 Vol. XV, #8
Caberfae Peaks will be open Christmas Day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. And while the clubhouse will open, the Dining room and Stag's Head Lounge will not be open until December 26th.
A Note from club president, Pat Bourassa
A reminder about masking. In order to keep our members safe, we are asking everyone to wear a mask inside the club when not eating or drinking regardless of vaccination status. We are aware this request is different from Caberfae Peaks Covid policy, but we are following the current CDC guidance on wearing masks indoors in areas of high transmission. Thanks for doing your part to prevent the spread of Covid.
"The clubhouse is open" ... "The clubhouse is closed." What's the difference? Quite a bit, actually. When the clubhouse is OPEN it means the dining room is open for business. The barn-door is open and members have access to the dining room, the Stag's Head Lounge and the upper deck. When the clubhouse is CLOSED the barn-door is closed shutting off the dining room and Stag's Head Lounge. But the Round Room, locker rooms, and restrooms are always available. Now, on occasion one may find the parking lot door locked. This shouldn't be a obstacle since every member family has a key to that door. It's right there in your kitchen junk drawer along with those other keys belonging to lost locks and cars that have been gone for many years. If you wish to pretend you never received that parking lot key, go ahead and contact Norma firstname.lastname@example.org. She'll roll her eyes as she listens to your tale of woe. She may even grade your story, but she can hook you up with a replacement.
Greetings from Stag's Head Lounge! My name is James and I am the new bartender at the your Caberfae Ski Club! Originally from Traverse City, I'm bringing 30+ years of hospitality experience, to provide the best possible service for you and your guests! Having worked and skied in the mountains of Colorado, Oregon, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula, I look forward to sharing memories of skiing, and making a new season of fun and libations with you and your guests! Stop up after a nice ski and have a cold one ... or a hot if needed!

And remember that picture board? How many runs has your family made together down the slopes since you last you posted that family picture? Do your parents even recognize their grand children in that photo? Maybe it's time to update your picture. A quick glance revealed some of those "kids" are now Legacy Members all on their own. The picture board is only a club treasure if we all keep it up to date. Now it's your turn.
