Celebrating Over 80 Years of Skiing and Lifelong Friendships
March 8, 2022 Vol. XV, #19
Relaxing Masking Mask wearing has been relaxed for indoor areas (like the clubhouse) by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in a new "Updated Masking Guidance for Michiganders," published February 16, 2022. The CSC board relies on this guidance to develop masking expectations within the club. In conjunction with the change the board is encouraging members to make their own decision on their level of protection. Please be considerate of members whose health concerns may be different from yours.

3. Huckle Race Fundraiser Reminder
Caberfae Ski Club members, a reminder that this Sunday is the Earl Huckle Memorial Race which is the single largest fundraiser for the Cadillac Area Ski Club. CASC underwrites all things racing at Caberfae from the junior program to Wednesday night race league to all the equipment used by Cadillac High School skiing. The efforts of this club produce state championship results like the girls’ team this year! More importantly, it helps form lifelong friendships and affordable access to the sport that is unparalleled in Michigan. Junior programs at other resorts routinely cost 3-4X what we are providing at Caberfae and we would like to keep it that way.
We normally pair this race with a silent auction, but once again COVID has made a suitable indoor space for hundreds of people a challenge. We hope to be back to the auction format next year, so hang on to those cool items. In the interim, we are taking monetary donations to help fill the gap. If you or someone you care about has benefited from the Club’s efforts, please consider a donation using one of the two methods below.
