Summer has finally arrived! That means
snow is not too far behind!
July 6th is the date of the Fourth of July Bike Ride
The Bike Ride has shifted gears just a little. It still takes place on Saturday, July 6th at 10 A.M. However it will begin
at Sun n’ Snow Ski Shop near the corner of M115 and M55. The route is unchanged as well. The plan is to circumnavigate the seven miles
around Lake Cadillac. Stacy Cooper is hoping to take a scenic turnout and ride her bike right through the beer tent. What Stacy doesn’t
know is that the “Red - White, and Brew” tent doesn’t open until 5 P.M. There is also no truth to the rumor that Sun n’ Snow was chosen as the
starting point so Joe Host could tease you with last season’s markdowns or the next season’s markups.
Firecracker Potluck!*!*
The highly anticipated Firecracker Potluck will commence at the clubhouse at 5 P.M. with burgers and brats provided and grilled by the Demek
boys. This is sure to be a great improvement over the Senior Grill Team. Bring your choice of libations, a dish to pass, table service for
your clan, and lawn chairs. Please, if you would, click on this linkshanedemek@gmail.com to let Shane know how many Potluckers will be on your team so he may plan accordingly.
Auction Auction!
Would you like a piece of history from the Caberfae Ski Club? Or maybe a recliner for your deer blind? Well, here’s your chance. With
the arrival of the new dining room furniture, room needs to be made. So, it’s out with the old and in with the new. And thus the First CSC
Auction has begun. Just go to the club’s website,www.CaberfaeSkiClub.org and check out the auction items. There are instruction there regarding placing a bid and
how to raise your bid when someone snipes you. That’s not very nice, is it? If you wish to stop by the clubhouse to look over the loot, the
Potluck is a great time to do just that.
Lost n’ Found n ' soon to be Gone
There’s lots of Goodwill floating around the clubhouse. That is Lost and Found goodwill items that will be taken to Goodwill if no one claims it,
soon … very, very soon. Please follow this link to see what treasures your family may have left behind. https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtlK35J-WlAXiUgVhTADtlaGTpvi If you find a family heirloom contact Norma at roelfsen@gmail.com and make arrangements to recover your treasure.
Gee, if you have a key or combination in the key cabinet in the kitchen, like you’re supposed to, Norma will be happy to put it away for you.
Eric Harcourt
Club Member, Eric Harcourt has been skiing the hills at Caberfae since the mid 1970’s. This summer he is being treated for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
and will have a autologous bone marrow transplant. Let's shower Eric with encouragement and positive vibes. If you know Eric, or even if
you don’t, please him a card. This is part of a larger “card drive” started by his sister, Amy Gibbs. Let’s see how far this can
reach! Please send a card to Eric Harcourt at 135 Whitlock Saline, Michigan 48176. If you know others who may wish to connect with
Eric, please forward this information. Let’s all give Eric the encouragement he needs to kick cancer!
