2. WADDY’S NO BAD NEWS REPORT - Tuesday March 26th, 2019
Still here! Still skiing! Well, not today, but the last three days. Two at Caberfae, and one at Nubs Nob with eight CSC friends. Two of those three days were skiers' delight, sunny, no wind, and great snow. It goes on... I've been watching our weather sites like a hawk, and remain optimistic that Caberfae will be able to re-open this coming weekend. I'll be here regardless.
As I type this, I've got my eye on our back deck, the birds feeding there, and the sunshine. I confess to Spring Fever. I've already started the process of prepping some of our skis for off-season storage, and at the same time eyeing bicycles and motorcycles for their needs as they come out of hibernation. Robin got a head start and is in Ann Arbor for a few days, she's got the fever too.
I won't be-labor this, I'd rather go outside and take the Thule box off our van, and enjoy outside time. You already know how I feel about you, the club, and Caberfae. We'll have to do this again next season. I will. See you then.
Waddy
PS- another gem from Winston Churchill: "The farther back you can look, the farther forward you can see."
3. RAFFLE ITEMS … A special THANK YOU to all members who will be donating personal items to the club’s Raffle Inventory Locker. These items will be “procured” from dusty corners, cubbies and hooks throughout the clubhouse when the slopes close for the season. If you aren’t intending for these donations to be actual donations, please take it upon yourself to do something about these items.
4. SPRING WORK BEE, LUNCH, AND CHAIN GANG is scheduled for Saturday morning, May 4, 2019. Please join us for this seasonal rite of passage.
6. WHAT’S COMING UP NEXT WEEKEND? Better check Caberfae Peaks website. But if the resort’s open … so will be the Caberfae Ski Club … complete with limited food service.
