Celebrating nearly 80 Years of Skiing and Lifelong Friendships
October 2, 2018 Vol. XII, #2
The FALL WORK BEE/MacKENZIE TRAIL CLEANUP & GOLF OUTING is this coming weekend, Saturday, October 6th. The Work Bee and trail cleanup get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. You surely won’t want to miss this time honored club tradition. The Fall Work Bee is to the ski club as homecoming is to your alma mater. A lot of back slapping, hand shaking, hugs, and struggles remembering names. It’s a fall tradition that’s been going on for over 75 years. Don’t you be the one to break the chain … it just might bring some bad luck to your swagger on the sloops and that could jeopardized your entire season. So plan on coming out and avoid the bad juju. Click on this link waugelect@aol.com and let Paul Waug know you’re planning to attend so he has an idea of how many troops he’ll have on hand to press into service. If you can help on the trail cleanup you may wish to bring some work-gloves … and a chainsaw.
In addition, Worker Bees will be treated to lunch. Sue is back for another season and is planning to feed all the hungry workers at noon. Some may feel this is a more important reason to RSVP to Paul Waug waugelect@aol.com.
GOLFERS: Don’t worry, they won’t start the golf outing without you. Tee time is 2 p.m. at Caberfae Peaks. If you’re planning on golfing, please call Caberfae Peaks Ski/Golf Desk (231) 862-3000 ext. 200 to register.
