Celebrating over 75 Years of Skiing and Lifelong Friendships

March 28, 2017      Vol. X, #19

A ghostly stillness has fallen over the forest and the slopes.  The laughter is gone and the lifts have been silenced.  Sue’s galley is dark and there’s an unnatural stillness throughout the clubhouse.  And the irony?  There’s oodles of snow waiting for spring skiers.  But after that last run, you've got to admit, it was another wonderful season with new friends and old, making memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you Sue and your galley crew for your delicious culinary creations.  Thank you Glenn for spinning your stacks of wax.  Thank you to all the bartenders for your spirits.  Thank you Jim for our club website.  Thank you Waddy for you special brand of levity adding to our eNewsletter.  Thank you Norma and the board for your leadership.  Thank you Paul for planning the fun and keeping the clubhouse ticking.  Thank you Pete and Tim for keeping our precious jewel dusted in snow. And thank you to all the volunteers who work so hard to enable our Caberfae Ski Club family to enjoy another season of ... Skiing and Lifelong Friendships.

See you all in the fall. … No! Wait!  The Spring Work Bee is just around the corner … Saturday May 6th at 8:30 a.m.  Come catch up with members and join the fun … and save some cash on your next season's dues.

OK!  Ya gotta pay real close attention to this.  It’s kinda like “Who’s on first?  What’s on second?”  Due to moving the mailing of the dues from November to October, the year in which your Work Bee fee/credit is applied has been adjusted.  Whether you satisfy your Work Bee requirement in the fall or the following spring, it will be reconciled on the next year’s dues invoice.  In other words, if you participated in the Work Bee last fall, or coming up this spring, your labors will be rewarded on the invoice you receive in the fall of 2017.  … … “I Don’t Know is on third.”

Here are some important dates:

    a.  May 6th  Spring Work Bee 8:30 a.m.

    b.  July 1st  Bike Ride & Club Picnic

    c.  October 7th  Fall Work Bee and Club Golf Outing
